Website Design - Content Management System

Large or small, we put the same amount of thought and effort into every website. These days, your website is very likely to be the first impression anyone will get of your business. Not having a website is pretty bad. But having one which looks amateurish or which is clearly not a good reflection of your business is worse. It's got to be right. Unlike many other things, with a website, you do get a second chance to make a first impression.

Websites are constant works in progress. They should be dynamic, changing with the seasons, the markets, the latest trends and, indeed, changing as your business grows. With a content-managed website, you can add new pages and images, edit existing pages and generally keep the whole thing fresh and up-to-date.

There are several different types of web design which are explained here with some broad pricing information.

eCommerce

More than anything else, eCommerce has exploded the retail market. More than £40 billion will be spent online this year. Mobile eCommerce is growing faster than any other sector at a staggering 19% annually and is set to out-perform 'normal' eCommerce within 3 years.

Our eCommerce system is our own. We don't use any third party cart system and just overlay a design on it. We make our clients' websites do exactly what they need to do - for the customers and for the website management. Our system has been developed constantly since 2020 to provide a superb shopping experience designed to make your business stand out and fully cater for your customers' needs. The eCommerce features are covered here.

Technical Development

Technical development is at the heart of everything we do. It's what we're good at and what we're passionate about. As technology advances and our use of it increases, customer expectations of a website become harder to fulfil. No longer is it all about design. It's equally about the functionality you can offer your customers, the efficiency with which you can run the business and the amount of time you can save by automating as much of it as possible.

Websites are not just about increasing sales and enquiries or increasing the turnover. A carefully thought out website can seriously affect your bottom line by reducing the amount of time needed to manage the business. As many of our clients will attest to, a website can completely change your life. Talk to us about your business and what you'd ideally like your website to do for you.

Corporate Web Design

It's a misnomer really. Corporate web design is simply a term used to describe a website which may have hundreds if not thousands of users, all seeking different information or needing to perform different functions and which might need to be managed by multiple logged-in staff members with different access permissions at different levels for different purposes and often with a need to download specific data and statistics relating to one service or another in order to assist with planning and other strategic matters.

Corporate development is about understanding the core services and the hierarchy of ancillary services delivered within them in order to provide an interface which allows users to do what they came to do, simply and effectively and followed up with automated customer service emails with copy emails and alerts to appropriate staff and management. It's also about understanding the various levels of staff input and providing the appropriate permissions to allow employees access to those areas with which they are tasked based on their access grade. Undertaking such a development requires several meetings in which to discuss core structure and the hierarchy of service delivery leading to a wireframed pre-production module for approval prior to the build.

Search Engine Optimisation

SEO is a key factor in any website. Back in the day, it was all about tricks and technical processes which dictated how a website would fare in the search engines. Now, it's all about content and how that content is presented as well as relevance to a user's search, user-friendliness, mobile-friendliness and overall, engagement with customers and the whole user experience. Of course, there are technical do's and don'ts and there are ways to do it successfully - just as there are ways to do it wrong and drop a website out of sight. But the tricks are now history. Hard work, understanding the business and the market as well as constant vigilance and genuine, fresh content is key. When we take on the SEO of a website, we take it on forever.
